In its 9th year of operations, Puritas Sath Diyawara continues to play a significant role in providing purified drinking water to communities affected by chronic kidney disease (CKD). The initiative leverages the strength of the Environmental Engineering Solutions segment’s water purification capabilities and involves setting up a reverse osmosis treatment plant and distribution system to provide purified drinking water to the community.

As an extension of Puritas Sath Diyawara, the “Going Beyond” sub-project reflects Haycarb’s commitment to community upliftment. Focused on enhancing socio-economic conditions, particularly in the education sector, the program annually supports children from schools in the North, North Central, and Uva provinces.

Puritas Sath Diyawara was recognized as Asia’s leading SME CSR Project at the Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards in 2015 and was acknowledged as the World’s Best CSR Project in the “Water” category at the Energy Globe Awards 2017/18.

“Going Beyond” was recognized as Asia’s leading Social Empowerment Project at the Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards in 2016.
