Coconut Tree Planting

Haycarb PLC is deeply invested in bolstering coconut cultivation through strategic collaborations and initiatives, recognizing the pivotal role of a sustainable supply chain. As a part of its tree planting initiatives, Haycarb actively engages with key stakeholders such as the Coconut Research Institute and the Coconut Development Authority. A significant demonstration of this commitment is Haycarb’s active participation in the Coconut Cultivation Board’s ambitious program focused on establishing a second coconut triangle in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka, a large-scale endeavor where Haycarb supported the planting of 100,000 coconut saplings to expand cultivation areas and support local economies.
This contribution of coconut plants, distributed among farmers, underscores Haycarb’s dedication to empowering agricultural communities and ensuring the long-term sustainability of coconut resources, which are crucial to our manufacturing operations. Through these multifaceted efforts, Haycarb is not only securing its supply chain but also actively contributing to the growth and resilience of the coconut industry in Sri Lanka.
