The Group focuses on emission reduction through increased reliance on renewable energy, greater use of biofuels, and energy intensity reductions. Aligned with Hayleys Group’s policy, these efforts aim for net-zero status by 2050, guided by Haycarb’s Energy and Emission Management Policy.

MATERIALS

Haycarb relies on renewable coconut shell and charcoal as primary raw materials, emphasizing sustainability through green procurement and responsible material handling. The Group prioritizes increasing the use of renewable and recyclable materials, guided by its Materials and Waste Management Policy.

WASTE & EFFLUENTS

The Group’s sustainable waste management follows the 7R principles and is guided by the Material and Waste Management Policy. Practices include lean manufacturing, process innovation, and Life Cycle Assessment for resource efficiency. We ensure proper waste segregation, minimize generation, conduct regular waste audits, and promote zero landfilling through third-party agreements. Ongoing tracking and monitoring drive continuous improvement aligned with targets.

WATER

Haycarb fulfills water requirements from wells, reservoirs, and third-party sources, emphasizing water conservation and optimization. The Group aims to increase reliance on sustainable sourcing, explore water recycling initiatives, and reduce consumption through rainwater harvesting. Efforts include reusing steam and exploring blackwater/greywater recycling, guided by Puritas’ engineering expertise. Behavioral changes, process efficiencies, and innovations drive sustainable water consumption, monitored regularly against targets.
