Haycarb recently participated in the 14th China (Shanghai) International Industrial Catalysis Technology and Application Exhibition, engaging with stakeholders across the chemical and process industries.
While the event was largely centred on surfactants and detergents, Haycarb brought a distinct focus to the evolving role of activated carbon in industrial catalysis, particularly in improving process efficiency, material performance, and impurity control.
During the event, Haycarb’s team engaged with industry professionals across chemical and refining applications, where activated carbon is widely used as a catalyst support material. With its high surface area and controlled pore structure, activated carbon enhances reaction contact and contributes to improved process stability, critical factors in maintaining performance under demanding operating conditions.

Discussions also reflected an increasing emphasis on material consistency and purity, particularly in applications where catalyst performance is closely linked to product quality and process efficiency. Haycarb’s coconut shell–based 活性炭 solutions, including granular and acid-washed grades, are engineered to meet these requirements through optimized particle size distribution, low attrition, and high purity.
More broadly, these engagements highlighted a shift towards more controlled and efficient processing systems, where material selection plays a critical role. In this context, activated carbon continues to evolve from a supporting material to a more integral component within industrial catalysis systems.
Participation in the exhibition reflects Haycarb’s continued focus on strengthening its technical presence in the chemical processing sector, while deepening engagement with industry stakeholders across key markets.
