Haycarb Showcases Sustainable Water Solutions at IFAT Saudi Arabia 2025

Share

Our time at IFAT Saudi Arabia was a great reminder of why we do what we do. As the region leans into safer water and more sustainable purification, the exhibition gave us the perfect space to sit down with partners and talk about what’s next especially around 活性炭 for drinking water and its growing role in the region.

One of the most encouraging takeaways from the event was the sheer amount of interest in activated carbon solutions we saw across Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Jordan. In our sit-downs with utilities and system integrators, the conversation kept coming back to one thing: the need for activated carbon that doesn’t just work on paper, but delivers consistent, reliable results in the unique operating conditions of the Middle East. In a region where advanced water treatment applications such as drinking water and wastewater treatment, POU/POE filtration, dechlorination, PFAS removal and H₂S removal are increasingly prioritized, the role of high-performance activated carbon solutions have come into sharper focus.

Beyond meeting new faces, IFAT Saudi Arabia was a great chance to catch up with existing customers. It gave us the space to have meaningful, face-to-face conversations about the technical challenges they’re facing today and their requirements for tomorrow. For us, these interactions were the backbone of a long-standing partnerships and reflect the importance of region specific water treatment solutions tailored to meet local needs.

We took a lot of pride in our presence at the exhibition, as we were the sole sustainable activated carbon supplier exhibiting and showcasing solutions that allowed us to engage with visitors on a deeper level, creating a unique point of differentiation. In a region that has traditionally relied on conventional carbon solutions, the shift towards a sustainable alternative such as coconut shell activated carbon opened the doors to meaningful discussions about why this transition is vital for the region’s evolving water treatment landscape.

As activated carbon for water treatment continues to play a growing role in the Middle East there is also increasing emphasis on municipal water treatment applications across the Gulf and industrial water treatment carbon solutions that meet both performance expectations and regulatory requirements. This shift highlights the importance of advanced adsorption technology for drinking water, ensuring both safety and consistency across applications.

At its core, IFAT Saudi Arabia was a reminder that solving the region’s water challenges requires more than just a product, instead it requires genuine technical dialogue and a willingness to collaborate. For the Haycarb team, the week was defined by the quality of the people we met and the depth of the problems we explored together. We’re heading home not just with new contacts, but with the momentum and shared insights needed to turn these conversations into real-world impact.

As we build on everything we’ve gained from the exhibition, we’re excited to continue the dialogue going with our partners across the Middle East. We look forward to working alongside our customers to provide activated carbon solutions that are built for the field delivering consistent, high-standard performance for both municipal and industrial water systems.
